The Sub-Machine Gun (also called SPAZ Mark 1) is a powerful Blue Class weapon that appears in both Manhunt games.

Based on its design, the Sub-Machine Gun seems to be based on the Uzi or MAC-10 without a stock (although it looks more like the former). It also bears some similarity from the SOCIMI Type 821, which turns to be a improved Italian clone of the Uzi. It fires 9mm ammo in a 32-round magazine, giving it excellent rate-of-fire, fair accuracy and range. In Manhunt, it takes 5 body shots to kill a Hunter with it. It is also the fastest fire rate of any weapon, surpassing the Assault Rifle.

In Manhunt, it is used by the Carcer City Police Department, specifically the S.W.A.T.. In Manhunt 2, The Bloodhounds. Project Militia, The Legion and The Watchdogs use this weapon.

Appearances[]

Manhunt[]

Manhunt 2[]

Execution[]

PS2/PSP

Daniel/Leo kicks the Hunter in the back side of his right knee. The hunter then turns around and is shot in the left knee, forcing him to kneel on one leg. He then hits the right side of the Hunter's head with the side of the gun, killing him.

PC/Wii[]

Daniel/Leo spins the Hunter around and whacks the enemy in the right side of the face with the side of the gun, causing the Hunter to fall to his knees. H then holds the Hunter's head and shoots him in the face.

Beta/Cut Content[]

Daniel/Leo aims at the Hunter's back and keeps firing automatically until the recoil reaches the Hunter's head, blowing it apart.

Daniel/Leo shoots the Hunter in the neck twice, and when the Hunter falls to their knees, he lets the recoil of the last 2 shots finish off the enemy's head.

Trivia[]

  • The 32-round magazine capacity is not only correct for the Uzi, but also for the MAC-10.
  • This weapon in Manhunt has an extremely high rate of fire that appears to be 900RPM, and can kill Hunters (or James Earl Cash) even faster than the Assault Rifle, making it an overpowered firearm. In Manhunt 2, it is slightly nerfed to shoot slower and Hunters are not as accurate with the Sub-Machine Gun.
  • The Sub-Machine Gun is much more common in Manhunt 2 than in its predecessor, as it only appears in two levels in Manhunt.
  • In Release Therapy, a beta execution exists, which reuses the PS2/PSP execution, but includes Leo emptying the Uzi into Danny's back after whacking him in the head, instead.
