"You must survive for as long as you can against the three gangs. The gangs will fight each other as well as you. Good luck!"
— Scene description

Brawl Game is one of the four bonus scenes and the second of such in Manhunt, unlocked by achieving at least 3 stars in Grounds for Assault, Strapped for Cash, View of Innocence, Drunk Driving and Graveyard Shift. It is based on Born Again.

Mission
[]

James Earl Cash starts inside the Hoods Basketball Court seen in Born Again, for a street-fight battle royale against the Hoods, the Skinz, and the Innocentz. The goal for the player is to fight and survive for as long as possible. Each of the three different gangs, two members each, will fight each other as well as Cash, at random. Each time a gang member dies, another member of the same gang will spawn to replace him in the court after a while, and they will never stop respawning. Just like in Hard as Nails, a "Death Counter" is present on the screen and will raise after every kill that is made, regardless if it is from Cash or a Hunter. A Glass Shard spawns inside the middle of the court and can be used to both fight and execute a Hunter. It will respawn after every 8 kills. A Painkiller will also spawn after every 10 kills. The scene will only end if Cash dies, which will bring the player to a screen where the total amount of kills will be counted and the mission will be completed regardless of how many Hunters perished in the mayhem.

Trivia[]

  • Brawl Game has the least amount of weapons within any level in Manhunt, with just one Glass Shard.
  • Even if the player is playing on Fetish difficulty, this mission will not include the radar.
  • This is the only level in the game where Hunters can be seen attacking other enemies.
  • Several other Green and Yellow class weapons can be spawned in this scene with a trainer and can be used to fight with. However, performing executions with these Green class weapons (excluding the Glass Shard) will crash the game.
  • Despite the Skinz and Innocentz gangs being technically more dangerous than the Hoods, because every gang member in this level are unarmed as well as all Hunters in Manhunt sharing the same AI, there are no differences between them as they attack Cash and each other.
  • Ironically, in Born Again, the first Hunter Cash fights against in hand-to-hand combat as intended by Lionel Starkweather, a Hood, takes place in this scene's arena.
  • The taunts made by the various gang members while fighting against the others are the same as the ones made against Cash.
  • A dead Smileys member can be seen in the level icon, meaning this gang were originally intended to appear in this scene but ultimately being cut. The reason is unknown.
  • The mission folder is named "bonus3", which means this level is technically the third bonus scene in spite of being second in the menu order.
  • Like Hard as Nails, Cash dying does not count as "Scene Failed" (Game Over), but rather completing the level.
  • Sometimes the game spawns a Glass Bottle in a random garbage bag on the second floor at Carcer Mark Mall, just like in Born Again, but it is required oob glitch or a trainer to get there.
  • There is a very rare glitch that causes the Death Counter to increase extremely rapidly even without any Hunter dying, making Glass Shards and Painkillers spawn immediately. [1]
  • By modifying “LEVELS” (PS2) or “levels” (PC) and replacing this scene with any storyline scene (1-20), the player will be able to activate cheats in it. When activating the Fully Equipped cheat, the player will receive a Plastic Bag and a Brick. The radar will also be included if played on Fetish difficulty, but it will not show Hunters and where they’re looking. The radar still indicates the noise made by Cash. If cash dies, the scene fails. Any scene (including other Bonus scenes) replacing this one, will not include the radar even when played on Fetish difficulty. If replaced with scene 1-13, Starkweather can be heard commenting when the player is about to execute a Hunter, executes a Hunter, kills a Hunter, spotted, and sometimes when the scene starts.
